Philadelphia, PA – Producer Preston “J Strong” Knox is a new force in Philadelphia’s dying entertainment industry.  J Strong’s work has recently been featured on a national platform; once again, bringing attention to the great city of Philadelphia.

Tracks produced by J Strong can be heard in various scenes of Benny Boom’s new film “Next Day Air,” which features such actors as Donald Faison, Mike Epps, Mos Def and Lauren London. 

J Strong is also garnering success with local rapper Doeysa, who is featured on DJ Whoo Kid’s most recent mixtape project.  The latest track to burn up Philadelphia airwaves is Doeysa’s “Gettin’ Money,” which J Strong produced and is featured on.  “Gettin’ Money” has been rotating on such stations as Philadelphia’s Power 99 and 100.3 The Beat.

“Music is all I know,” said J Strong.  “I am very grateful for being able to extend my production into not only music, but film as well.” 

J Strong produces tracks that each have their own individual feel and sound, a feat which most producers are failing to achieve.  His production credits speak for themselves and include artists that range from such labels as Def Jam to Arista.  Some of the artists he has worked with comprise of: Fabulous, Philadelphia Freeway, Jamie Foxx, Clipse, Young Gunz, Elliot Ness, Oschino, Gillie da Kid, Ab-Liva, Nox, Megan Rochell and Pooda Brown.

On the other side of the coin is J Strong’s rap game.  Throughout his career, he has performed at major venues like the Electric Factory and at notable events such as Powerhouse.  In his younger years, he had experience in being with the group DCA, who was featured on No Question’s hit single, “I Don’t Care (Remix).”
